SOUTH KOREA. Shinsegae Duty Free has opened a pop-up store at its flagship Myeong-dong, Seoul store for Armani Beauty to usher in the Lunar New Year of the Dragon.

The pop-up is open throughout February within the store’s renowned tenth floor beauty zone.

The Armani Beauty store from L’Oréal Travel Retail showcases the brand’s signature products, as well as stunning visuals inspired by the Year of the Dragon, which symbolises power and prosperity in Asian culture.

The activation features Armani Beauty Global Fragrance Ambassador Jackson Wang in a campaign wishing customers to “Reach new heights together” in 2024.
Customers can discover various lip products and colour makeup products and take keepsake photos in a photogenic space decorated with red dragon motifs.

To celebrate the opening and the Lunar New Year season, Shinsegae Duty Free is offering free gifts based on amounts spent at the pop-up. Customers who spend more than US$1,500 will receive a limited-edition Armani Mahjong Set.

“We are delighted to present the Armani Beauty pop-up store, which is the first of its kind in Korea, to our customers who love beauty and fashion,” said a Shinsegae Duty Free official.

“We hope that domestic and foreign customers who plan to travel during the Lunar New Year will enjoy the special moments and experiences at the Armani Beauty pop-up store.”

Shinsegae Duty Free said the project is part of a concerted effort to provide unique and innovative pop-ups and events for customers in collaboration with various global brands.

The retailer said it aims to become the “ultimate destination” for beauty and lifestyle shopping, offering a wide range of products and services catering to different needs and preferences.

Shinsegae Duty Free has three operations in South Korea – downtown stores in Seoul and Busan and an extensive network at Incheon International Airport. The company is a subsidiary of Shinsegae Group, one of the Republic’s largest conglomerates, with businesses in retail, ecommerce, hospitality, fashion and other sectors. ✈
