
UAE. Shiseido Travel Retail and Dubai Duty Free have unveiled a radiant new Clé de Peau Beauté counter in Concourse B of DXB (Dubai International Airport).
The premium skincare brand said it chose DXB because of its strategic location, world-class facilities, passenger demographic and high traffic volumes. 60% of DXB’s skincare customers are Asian travellers, who are a key demographic for Clé de Peau Beauté.
In addition to this, Shiseido Travel Retail’s strong partnership with Dubai Duty Free drove the group’s decision to launch in DXB.
As reported, Clé de Peau Beauté’s radiance counter retail concept makes subtle references to the brand’s ‘radiance philosophy’. It also highlights the brand’s positioning as one of Japan’s most premium beauty brands. The design features Clé de Peau Beauté’s signature blue, white, gold, and beige colour palette, and invites travelling shoppers to enter a “contemporary sanctuary-like environment,” the brand said.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony was attended by representatives from Shiseido Travel Retail and Dubai Duty Free. Shiseido Travel Retail President & CEO Philippe Lesne and Dubai Duty Free Chief Operating Officer Ramesh Cidambi attended the launch event and celebrated the strength of their ongoing partnership.

So did Shiseido Travel Retail EMEA General Manager Olivier Decazes, Shiseido Travel Retail Regional Director Augustin Bondonneau, Shiseido Travel Retail Area Manager Judith Dupain, Shiseido Travel Retail Manager Melody Uren and Shiseido Travel Retail Vice President Marketing & Innovation Elisabeth Jouguelet.
Shiseido Travel Retail Vice President Business Development & Strategy Evelyne Ly-Wainer, and Shiseido Travel Retail Business Development Director Elodie Kriener-Maniere were also in attendance at the grand unveiling.

As reported, the new Clé de Peau Beauté counter in DXB is part of the brand’s wider expansion strategy into the EMEA region. At the beginning of October, Clé de Peau Beauté opened its first radiance counter in Harrods and held a glamorous launch event in London last week. In early September, the brand also opened a counter in Istanbul Airport in partnership with Gebr Heinemann.
