Shlophilli Director Filippo J. Costi gifts the first of the limited-edition watches to Panama’s first lady, Marta Linares de Martinelli |
PANAMA. Panamanian luxury goods distributor Shlophilli has launched a limited-edition watch collection to support this month’s Pink Ribbon campaign for breast cancer awareness.
Shlophilli’s Director Filippo J. Costi gifted the first of the 15 Tendence Gulliver Glam Pink watches in the collection to Marta Linares de Martinelli, the wife of Panama’s president, at a ceremony in Panama City on 4 October 2010. The back of the watch was engraved with the Pink Ribbon campaign logo and its number, 1/15.
Another of the watches (number 10/15) will be put up for a silent auction on the Internet to raise funds for FundaYuda, an organisation dedicated to the raising awareness and helping with early detection of breast cancer.
Costi told The Moodie Report that a further watch (13/15) will be part of the Pink Auction for Life being staged on 27 October in Bogotá, Colombia, in an event sponsored by Avon and the Bogotá City Hall.
Shlophilli is the exclusive distributor in Central American and the Caribbean for Tendence, a young and innovative brand that aims to combine technological and design excellence.
