SkinCeuticals and CDFG pioneer aesthetic tourism with first Hydrafacial hotel spa in Hainan

The SkinCeuticals x Hydrafacial Hotel Spa at The EDITION Sanya signals a new chapter for aesthetic tourism in Hainan, blending medical-grade skincare with luxury hospitality

HAINAN, CHINA. L’Oréal Travel Retail Asia Pacific has partnered with China Duty Free Group (CDFG) and non-invasive skincare aesthetics brand Hydrafacial to launch the first SkinCeuticals Hydrafacial Hotel Spa in Hainan.

The Hotel Spa ran throughout December 2025 at the EDITION Sanya. It introduced the Hydrafacial device, previously exclusive to domestic medi-spas in China, into a luxury hotel environment for the first time in Hainan.

The partners said the spa concept promoted aesthetic tourism in Hainan by integrating advanced skincare science with bespoke spa experiences in a resort setting.

It also reinforced SkinCeuticals’ medical positioning within travel retail and its established professional network in China’s domestic market.

The SkinCeuticals x Hydrafacial protocol was also available in SkinCeuticals boutiques at the cdf Sanya International Duty Free Shopping Complex and cdf Haikou International Duty Free Shopping Complex.

Located within the EDITION Hotel Spa, the SkinCeuticals x Hydrafacial Spa combined the brand’s medical-grade formulations with HydraFacial’s patented vortex-fusion technology.

Travellers were offered a complimentary SkinScope 2.0 facial analysis. The procedure used multi-spectral imaging to identify concerns, including hidden sensitivity, pore condition and hyperpigmentation.

Based on the diagnosis, personalised treatment protocols, co-developed by SkinCeuticals and Hydrafacial, were administered by trained beauticians.

Treatment regimens featured targeted SkinCeuticals products, including CE Ferulic for antioxidant protection, A.G.E. Interrupter Ultra Cream for anti-ageing and P-TIOX Serum for anti-wrinkle benefits.

The approach followed the brand’s Integrated Skincare Philosophy, leveraging the efficacy of SkinCeuticals skincare products and patented vortex-fusion technology by Hydrafacial.

According to the partners, the treatments offered both immediate visible results and long-term skin health benefits.

To mark the launch, SkinCeuticals hosted a VIP Summit on 6 December with the theme ‘Decode Skin Science with SkinCeuticals’. The event brought together key clients and corporate partners for a medical conference and workshop, during which the strategic collaboration with Hydrafacial was formally unveiled.

The event underlined the cross-channel partnership between SkinCeuticals Travel Retail Asia Pacific and SkinCeuticals China.
