Travel accessories specialist Skross has partnered with travel retailer D&R to extend its presence in Turkey.
Skross products are featured in branded displays in two dedicated electronics stores and four multi-category shops at Istanbul New Airport. D&R specialises in consumer technology, travel essentials, music and books across its Turkish network.
Skross Managing partner Sam Gerber said: “With the opening of the new airport in Istanbul, Skross has seen an impressive expansion of its presence in this important hub.
“Our partner, D&R, has been able to secure a total of ten stores, six of which display the Skross full assortment, including our latest products in the category of chargers, cables and batteries.”
As reported, the Istanbul New Airport aims to become the biggest airport in the world in terms of passenger traffic. Its capacity to serve 90 million people initially is set to increase to 200 million once all phases are completed.
“Being present in various locations throughout the airport helps Skross to significantly increase its brand awareness among travellers from Europe, Asia and the Middle East,” the brand said.
Skross is launching its premium Alpha by Skross world travel adapter into global travel retail. The adapter, which was developed in collaboration with Scandinavian design consultancy, Jacob Jensen Design, was previewed at last year’s TFWA World Exhibition and will feature at this month’s TFWA Asia Pacific Exhibition.
