UK. Smashbox Cosmetics is reinforcing its problem-solving portfolio with two new products: Photo Finish Foundation Primer SPF15 and a Filter (both with Dermaxyl Complex).
The products are claimed to help prep skin for a seamless make-up application.
The new foundation primer is a revamped version of Smashbox’s breakthrough best-seller, enhanced with an SPF and Dermaxyl.
The latter has been proven in clinical trials to minimise the appearance of wrinkles, according to the company. The product therefore allows consumers to both fill in lines and prevent further damage.
The formula also contains vitamins A, C and E and grapeseed extract for additional nourishment.
Photo Finish Foundation Primer SPF15 with Dermaxyl is presented in a 28ml glass pump dispenser, and retails domestically at US$42.
The Filter with Dermaxyl Complex has been designed to mimic the effect of a filter over a camera lens ie. it masks imperfections. The product is said to contain all the benefits of Smashbox’s Photo Finish Foundation Primer, but in a convenient click pen for more precise application.
The Filter can be used before or after Photo Finish Foundation Primer, to target and treat areas that contain more fine lines and wrinkles. It is also said to be ideal for touch-ups throughout the day as it can be used even after make-up application.
The Filter is presented in a slim, 1.4g pen-style format and retails domestically at US$28.
