The new business unit taps into the growing health and wellness segment with a portfolio of premium drinks with functional and ‘better-for-you’ benefits, the company said.

Complementing the partner companies’ offerings, The Original Beverage Co also features The Original Juice Co into its range.

Posca Hydrate is adding to the company’s sparkling hydration portfolio with a drink inspired by an ancient Roman recipe, reimagined for modern consumers by Co-Founders Merrick Watts and Ed Stening, a well-established leader in beverage marketing and travel retail. Launched in Australia in November 2024, the drink combines electrolytes, red wine vinegar, water, natural flavourings and zero sugar to deliver clean, refreshing hydration.

Founded by David Andrew in 2016, Naked Life has built a portfolio of non-alcoholic cocktails and sugar-free drinks, including sodas, iced teas and nootropics. Claiming leadership in Australia’s non-alcoholic cocktail category, the brand is well-placed to benefit from worldwide growth in alcohol-free and functional beverages.

To strengthen its presence in the growing wellness market, the company has partnered with Eclectic Group, led by entrepreneur Matthew Bailey and his daughter Alexandra, to introduce a portfolio of functional beverages. The initial line-up includes Alive, a carbonated gut-health drink; Stacked, a high-performance energy and functional milk range; and Daily Ritual, a premium collection of wellness shots.

This collaboration will leverage its combined FMCG expertise and advanced consumer insights to develop new product ranges to fuel category growth and innovation.

SPC Global Managing Director Robert Iervasi described The Original Beverage Co as an important part of the group’s ambitious growth strategy to diversify revenue through new channels and markets.

He also noted the growth potential of these three new partnerships in Australia and overseas, particularly in Asia.

Iervasi said: “A major reason for creating the recently combined SPC Global business was to take the very best of Australian food and beverages further across the country and to the world. We’re really excited about our new partnerships with Posca Hydrate, Naked Life and Eclectic Group.

“Consumer preferences are constantly evolving, especially for drinks that not only taste good, but are clearly better for you, so we need to keep evolving our products and identify opportunities that resonate with the consumers of today and tomorrow.

“We believe that together with the Posca Hydrate, Naked Life and Eclectic Group teams, we can expand these brands and our overall beverage portfolio domestically and overseas, via the distribution and channel relationships we have as a merged entity.”
