JAPAN. Traditional Japanese liqueur CHOYA DENTO UMESHU has been awarded Gold Medals in the 2006 Monde Selection – International Institute for Quality Selections.

The company – which has the marketing tagline Relax CHOYA! – has won the following medals:

CHOYA DENTO UMESHU – Grand Gold Medal
CHOYA DENTO HERB UMESHU – Gold Medal
CHOYA ROYAL HONEY – Grand Gold Medal

DENTO UMESHU:
700ML 15% ALC/VOL
The premium UMESHU aged for extra years. The luxury taste and elegant aroma are said to bring you the most blissful moment of a day. The cylinder shaped bottle contains 100ml UME fruit.

DENTO HERB UMESHU:

The herbal type DENTO UMESHU made with selected UME and perilla herb. The essences of perilla herb are in very good harmony with UME fruit, enhancing the taste of DENTO UMESHU. The cylinder-shaped bottle contains 100ml UME fruit.

ROYAL HONEY:
700ML 15% ALC/VOL
CHOYA Royal Honey is a UMESHU specially made with Japanese UME, Honey, and Royal Jelly. Its delicate acidity from UME and natural sweetness from honey is said to create a balanced harmony. Royal Jelly contains minerals, vitamins and amino acids. The nutritious aspect of Royal Jelly satisfies your taste buds, according to the firm. The cylinder shaped bottle contains 100ml UME fruit.

The duty free retail prices for the products are DENTO US$20 per bottle, DENTO HERB US$22 and ROYAL HONEY US$27.

About Monde Selection
Brussels-based Monde Selection, the International Institute for Quality Selections, analyses products in certified and independent laboratories, followed by submission to a tasting board consisting of an international jury. Based on the results (including packaging), Monde Selection awards Grand Gold Medal with leaves, Gold Medal, Silver and Bronze. Products are analysed between January and April each year and the results are revealed in May. In June Monde Selection organises a closing ceremony, which takes place in a different European city. This year’s 25 June ceremony was held in Prague.
