SSP America appoints Anthony Montepare as SVP of Procurement

USA. Food & beverage operator SSP America has appointed Anthony F Montepare as Senior Vice President of Procurement.

Montepare will lead SSP America’s procurement team providing oversight on the purchasing and distribution of all goods and services across the company’s North American operations.

With over 30 years of experience in food service, Montepare most recently served as Vice President of Business Needs for the healthcare and business and industry channels of Foodbuy LLC, a member of global food service management company, Compass Group USA. He was part of a leadership team that delivered 15 consecutive years of successful purchasing results tied to over US$3 billion in channel-managed volumes.

Prior to Foodbuy and Compass Group, Montepare was the Southeast Division Vice President of Procurement and Marketing for Alliant/US Food Distribution. He also served as Director of Purchasing for Sysco’s food service distribution operations based in Albany, NY.

SSP America has enjoyed significant growth since its launch in North America in 2007, with recent openings of restaurants at JFK, Toronto, Phoenix, San Diego and Sacramento.
