| SSP’s latest The real food company outlet is at Newcastle Airport |
UK. Major food and beverage operator SSP has opened a new The real food company outlet at Newcastle International Airport.
It features an on-site bakery which prepares freshly baked cakes and muffins; a deli counter with fresh salads and sandwiches; freshly cooked meat at the carvery; and a juice bar serving freshly squeezed orange juice. A chocolate fountain for dipping fruit kebabs and croissants is also included. The hot drinks section with free refills is situated after the cashier.
The food serving areas are split into six sections to make selection easier and to speed up service:
• grab.me – a selection of ready-made sandwiches, salads, drinks and snacks for customers looking to “˜grab and go’
• bake.me – a selection of freshly baked cakes, pastries and muffins
• make.me – a deli bar with a selection of fresh salads and sandwiches
• hot, hot, hot – hot foods including a traditional cooked breakfast, freshly cooked meats, and beer-battered cod served with potato wedges
• juice.me – staff squeeze fresh orange juice and smoothies
• cork.me – a selection of wines from around the world
According to SSP, The real food company was created to meet the needs of customers in a hurry as well as those with time to spare. The outlet serves a wide range of food and drink and the brand aims to cater to all tastes from business travellers to parents with young children.
