Greater Toronto Airports Authority Chief Marketing and Commercial Officer Pamela Griffith-Jones said: “We are so excited to welcome Mill Street Brewery Pub to Toronto Pearson. We have made a commitment to create unique and memorable experiences for our guests at the airport and to showcase the best of what Toronto and this region have to offer, and Mill Street is a great example of that. Our guests are going to love the opportunity for great beer and great food in a fun and interactive environment while they are at the airport.”
Passengers can sample the restaurant menu at the opening event including mini fish & chips served with tartar sauce, chicken tikka masala skewers served with mango chutney, angus beef sliders topped with Mill Street stout barbecue sauce, chicken wings served with blue cheese, and maple glazed salmon served on a potato pancake.
Other sample dishes on offer include the Mill Street signature pulled pork tacos served with Quebec Oka cumin crème fraiche, duck confit crostini topped with frambrozen beer poached pear and cranberry relish, crispy dry riblets served with chipotle barbecue sauce and stout and balsamic glazed portabella mushroom flat bread. The brewery offers passengers 10 “˜best ranked’ beers on tap. The 312sq m concept features red and cinnamon tones, deep textured wood panels, and copper panels that complement contemporary wood upholstered furniture and the backdrop brick wall, a signature element found at every Mill Street Brewery location. The bar area provides space for 25 people to dine. The concept also features a signature frosted beer tap extending from the ceiling which SSP said reinforces the strong brand presence of Mill Street Brewing Co. and the slogan “Great Beer Lives Here”.
Travellers unable to dine in can pick up packaged items to go from the take out area adjacent to the restaurant/bar.
