UK. Two new food & beverage outlets have opened for business in Gatwick Airport’s North Terminal. The concepts from travel restaurateur SSP – the UK’s largest fast-casual Mexican restaurant brand Tortilla and premium bar/restaurant Juniper & Co. – are each making their first appearance at an airport.
At Tortilla, which has 51 outlets across the UK, customers can choose from Mexican-inspired dishes including burritos, tacos and quesadillas. A selection of salads also features on the menu.
Meanwhile Juniper & Co., a new bar and restaurant brand created especially for Gatwick Airport by SSP, has a menu which focuses on locally-sourced produce.
The bar area is a focal point of the F&B space, with its elegant marble-finished bar and contemporary brass-finished central gantry.
Gatwick Airport Director of Retail Rachel Bulford said: “We are delighted to welcome both Tortilla and Juniper and Co. to Gatwick. It’s exciting to not only have two new F&B offerings for our passengers to enjoy, but for them to be unique to Gatwick really demonstrates the pull of the airport.
“With more passengers now starting to return to the airport to enjoy holidays abroad, visit family and friends, or travel for business, it’s exciting to see our departure lounge starting to get that exciting buzz back again, and the additions of Tortilla and Juniper and Co. will only add to that atmosphere.”
