UK. Travel restaurateur SSP Group has unveiled key concepts at two UK airports, Sable & Co Bar and Kitchen at Liverpool John Lennon and Tap & Brew at Newcastle International.

Both restaurants offer unobstructed views of the airfield and feature food and drink menus curated to showcase homegrown ingredients and suppliers.
Located in the departure lounge at Liverpool John Lennon Airport, Sable & Co Bar and Kitchen serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Its all-day menu includes a variety of cheeses, burgers and mac and cheese.

The concept forms part of the initial phase of SSP’s expanded food & beverage programme at the airport. As reported, the company agreed a new contract with Liverpool Airport in January this year to extend its operations at the travel hub until at least 2036.

At Newcastle International Airport, SSP has also opened Tap & Brew to replace Beer House. It is one of the key elements of a major refurbishment programme at the airport.
The bar offers a diverse selection of beers, cocktails and gluten-free lager on tap.
The opening follows last month’s launch of premium restaurant and bar Aster & Thyme at the airport.
