The opening coincided with the launch of the brand’s Autumn 2019 collection. This features embellished dressy heels, boots in a range of textures and heights, pumps and sandals in bold animal prints and sneakers with innovative soles and designs that “scream bold”.

“It is an absolute privilege for us to present yet another new-to-market lifestyle brand to Malaysia,” Ashvin Valiram said.

“Steve Madden is a trend leader that is intrinsically urban with an edgy attitude, and we’re certain it will make an impact with the fashion-forward shoppers in Kuala Lumpur.”

“Funky and dynamic”: The Steve Madden store follows a ‘Distilled Urban’ design to offer shoppers a fashion, music, design and colour experience.

The 1,410sq ft boutique’s design features include wood, steel and concrete to offer a “funky and dynamic vibe”. Its décor is based on the Steve Madden ‘Distilled Urban’ store concept to immerse shoppers in a fashion, music, design and colour experience.

Valiram said the shoes and accessories are showcased to tell a style story. “Inspired by contemporary New York City chic, the setting is an expression of the environment in which Steve Madden’s creativity thrives,” the company added.

Designer and businessman Steve Madden said that “pounding the pavement all over the world” has provided inspiration for the brand he founded in the 1990s. His fashion-forward styles have influenced footwear globally and his brand is recognised as a leader in US footwear, while Steve Madden products available in over 80 countries.
