USA. The International Association of Airport and Duty Free Stores (IAADFS) is set to co-host a workshop with industry title Duty-Free News International (DFNI) as part of the conference programme at the 2024 Summit of the Americas.
The Summit will be held from 14-17 April in West Palm Beach, Florida.
IAADFS President and CEO Michael Payne said: “We are excited to partner with our friends at DFNI to offer a session focused on the robust and fast-growing cruise industry in the Americas.
“The session is open to all registered attendees for the Summit and will begin at 1pm on Tuesday 16 April, immediately following the outdoor lunch provided by IAADFS for registered attendees.”
Themed ‘Sailing into Success: Cruise Retail in the Americas 2024’, the workshop will focus on opportunities within the regional cruise retail sector.
A panel of industry experts will discuss how innovative retail strategies are reshaping the cruise ship passenger experience.
Another key topic is the evolving preferences of cruisers in the Americas. The discussion, which features exclusive research from m1ndset, will address how these insights can be used to enhance onboard retail offerings.
Panelists include m1nd-set COO Clara Susset; Starboard Cruise Services Chief Sales & Marketing Officer Lisa Kauffman; Diageo Global Travel Head of Cruise and Airlines Emily Lively and Denizen Managing Director Estelle Baumann. DFNI Special Projects Editor Chris Madden will chair the event.
