King Power Group (HK) Managing Director Travel Retail and Duty Free Sunil Tuli has been appointed to the Board of Directors of Dragon Spirits Limited, the owners of premium brand Royal Dragon vodka.
Tuli, who holds several other Board positions within the King Power Group (including being Chairman of Agatha Paris), joined the Dragon Spirits Board as a non-executive Director today, 1 January.
As reported in October, Yam Seng Pte, a Singapore company owned by the Tuli family, was recently appointed agents for the vodka brand in selected duty free markets globally. Since then, Royal Dragon has gained listings at important locations and discussions are currently underway for more, Yam Seng said.
The brand is renowned for its hand-blown bottles and elegant packaging, qualities that contributed to it being named Star Product of the Year under US$100 during the recent Frontier Awards at the TFWA World Exhibition in Cannes. Royal Dragon vodka also snapped up Frontier’s Best Global Travel Retail Packaging accolade.
Tuli said he was pleased to be offered the board position, as he strongly believes in the company and the products and has a good relationship with the owners.
