USA. Suntory Global Spirits has partnered with DFS Group to unveil a high-profile Maker’s Mark activation at New York John F. Kennedy International Airport.
The Terminal 4 pop-up highlights the limited-edition Wood Finishing City Series New York expression, available exclusively at JFK.
The flagship animation runs until September, offering travellers an immersive brand experience and featuring expressions such as Maker’s Mark 46, Maker’s Mark 101 and the 2024 Cellar Aged release.

During peak travel periods, Maker’s Mark will offer its signature Gold Rush cocktail to passengers. Visitors who make a qualifying purchase can choose a branded gift, such as a duffel bag or a screen-printed NYC tote bag.
Suntory Global Spirits Vice President Global Marketing – Maker’s Mark Chloe Lloyd-Jones commented, “Engaging retail experiences like this reinforce how Maker’s Mark is unique in its uncompromising commitment to excellent bourbon, as well as the personal and unconventional ways we communicate to consumers.”
Suntory Global Spirits Managing Director Global Travel Retail Ashish Gandham added, “We’re excited to unlock new opportunities that bring our Suntory Global Spirits brands to life, including Maker’s Mark, and engaging new whisky drinkers and travellers from around the world.”

The T4 pop-up highlights a strong sense of place, reinforcing the concept behind Maker’s Mark Wood Finishing City Series.
DFS Group Senior Director of Merchandising Daniel Licari said, “The Maker’s Mark shop-in-shop embodies the strength and vision of our partnership with Suntory Global Spirits.
“With the continued growth of premium American whiskey, we’re excited to showcase Maker’s Mark and the in-store exclusive Maker’s Mark Wood Finishing City Series – New York expression.
“We are grateful to Ashish Gandham and the Suntory team for their trust and collaboration as we embark on this journey together at JFK T4.”
Wood Finishing City Series is a travel retail-exclusive collection that takes inspiration from the character of cities around the globe, including Sydney, Frankfurt and Singapore.
The series is an extension of Maker’s Mark Wood Finishing Series, which employs a wood stave-finishing technique to enhance distinctive characteristics already present in Maker’s Mark Classic.
“This City Series presents a Maker’s Mark expression that’s both bold and inviting,” said Maker’s Mark Lead Blender Beth Buckner.
“Dark chocolate and warm baking spices create a complex profile that has character and leaves a lasting impression – much like the people, cocktails and culinary scene in New York City.” ✈
