Sydney Airport Corporation General Manager Retail & Commercial Development Bob McFadyen plans to pursue consulting opportunities and personal interests

AUSTRALIA. Sydney Airport General Manager Retail & Commercial Development Bob McFadyen is to retire from the role in mid-2007.

He said: “After some 36 years at Sydney Airport I’ve decided it’s time to look at life from a different perspective.”

He said he intends to pursue some consulting opportunities as well as personal interests.

McFadyen worked for Sydney Airport when it was part of the Federal Airports Corporation and made the transition to Sydney Airports Corporation, owned by the Macquarie Airports-led Southern Cross group, in 1998.

He has been instrumental in the development of commercial activities at Sydney Airport in recent years and a driving force behind the ambitious planned redevelopment of retail, including duty free, in the international terminal.
