Tailwind Hospitality brings açaí specialist Sambazon to Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky Airport

USA. Tailwind Hospitality has opened its first concession, Sambazon Açaí Bowls, at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport. The 67sq m food & beverage venue has a staple offer of açaí bowls and smoothies, along with other healthy snacks.

The smart new store at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport specialises in healthy food & beverage options

Located post-security in Concourse B, this Sambazon concession is the first opening for the Californian brand in the US midwestern region.

In addition to healthy to-go food options, the venue also serves drinks, including Margaritas made with a mix of açaí and local spirits.

Açaí is the dark-purple berry fruit of the açaí palm and the hero ingredient of the Sambazon concession

The brightly lit store features large digital menu boards and a digital order kiosk. Meanwhile, a digital screen outside the venue shares the Sambazon story and how the company harvests açaí.

Among the stakeholders at the ribbon-cutting ceremony are Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport Director of Commercial Management Carlos Ruiz (second from left) and CEO Candace McGraw (second from right)

Speaking to The Moodie Davitt Report about upcoming F&B activity at the travel hub, Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport Director of Commercial Management Carlos Ruiz said: “We are working with SSP on building out locations awarded earlier this year and they should begin opening in first quarter of 2025.
