The new wine range will add choice and diversity to the offer, says Tallink-Silja |
BALTIC REGION. Leading Baltic ferry company Tallink-Silja has introduced a new range of pouring wines on board its ships for the coming 12 months. The range will also be sold in its duty free stores.
Among the four new wines listed are a Sicilian red Gallante Shiraz Merlot; a white Geil Riesling Trocken from Germany; a sparkling Bernard-Massard premium dry Cotes de Grevenmacher from Luxembourg; and Lanson’s Black Label Brut Champagne, marking the return of the Champagne house to Tallink and Silja ships after more than a decade.
“We are extremely pleased with this year’s ship wines and we hope that the diversity of the selection – from France, Germany, Italy and Luxembourg – will give our customers an excellent choice that reflects the high standards we have on board. In addition we are confident that they will not only try these wines in our restaurants and bars but also purchase them when they shop in our duty free stores,” said Tallink Duty Free Sales Director of Business Development Magnus Skjörshammer.
To celebrate the launch of these official ships wines, Tallink Grupp held a special event on board the M/S Silja Serenade, which sails the Helsinki to Stockholm route.
Among the guests were: Giovanni Pecora, Global Sales/Marketing Director, EnoItalia, representing the ship´s red wine; Hubert Clasen, Managing Director, Bernard-Massard, representing the ship’s sparkling wine; Olivier de la Giraudiere, Sales Director at Lanson, representing the Champagne; and Johannes Geil, Owner & Winemaker, Weingut Geil, representing the ship’s white wine brand.
