Binnur Guleryuz: TAV breaks new ground

TAV Airports Holding operates Istanbul Atatürk, Ankara Esenboga and Izmir Adnan Menderes airports in Turkey, Enfidha and Monastır in Tunisia, plus Tbilisi and Batumi in Georgia – with the applications covering each of these locations.

The applications, which can be downloaded free of charge to smart phones and tablet computers, provide instant access to flight details as well as information on key services, such as retail.

TAV IT General Manager Binnur Guleryuz said: “We have broken new ground in our sector with our Smart Phone application through which you can display flight information instantly on your Blackberry, iPad, iPhone or Android.

“These applications, which we developed ourselves, are also a key indication of the importance we attach to passenger satisfaction within TAV Airports. Our goal is to provide a pleasant start and finish to our passengers’ journeys.”

All domestic and international, departing or arriving flights can be listed and searched for through the iPad/iPhone/Android applications developed by TAV IT.

They display airport transport and travel information, and deliver access to the TAV Passport Programme, which offers privileges including priority pass, transfer and fast check-in at the airport, as well as contact information for popular shopping centres, museums and restaurants in the cities in which the airports are located.

In addition, duty free promotions, plus the list and locations of stores at the airports can be accessed through TAV Mobile applications. Other information includes food & beverage services, cash machines, ticket sales points, private lounges, loss property bureaux and a currency converter.

Passengers can also specify their routes on Google Maps where the airport is marked. Flight information can also be displayed through the application.

The applications cover a broad range of services from flight information to retail and food & beverage options
