‘Team Up For Excellence’: Rémy Martin launches new global campaign with spectacular celebration in Versailles

The House of Rémy Martin launched its new ‘Team Up For Excellence’ global marketing campaign on Monday night in Versailles with a spectacular celebration of its heritage, terroir, teamwork, luxury expressions and knowledge of Cognac making.

The near 300-year story of the brand and its core values was brought to life at the Palace of Versailles, whose history and beauty makes it one of France and Europe’s great visitor destinations. It culminated in a memorable black tie Gala Dinner at the Palace’s Orangerie in the evening, following a tour of the palace and its gardens during the day.

The key campaign elements were revealed to a selective guest list that included senior figures from the Rémy-Cointreau group, influencers and lifestyle and industry media – with The Moodie Davitt Report representing travel retail.

The launch celebration, said the House, “brought together 100 guests who contribute to the success of Rémy Martin around the world and share the same uncompromising commitment to achieving excellence in their respective arts”.

‘Team Up For Excellence’, said the brand owner, reflects the House’s values of “authenticity, audacity and generosity” and pays tribute to personal success through the people who make it possible – in the case of Rémy Martin through wine growing, vinification, distillation, blending and ageing.

The House of Rémy Martin, noted the company, is a story of “family, partners and collective success”. It highlighted the desire to collaborate and co-create as a central value.

Two films, conceived by the Fred & Farid Paris agency and directed by Brazilian director Vellas, were released on 22 October to coincide with the campaign launch; these will be rolled out in the USA, China and Africa.

The first film shows masters of the Rémy Martin Estate for the first time: Baptiste Loiseau (Cellar Master), Laura Mornet (Viticulture Consulting Manager), Julien Georget (Estates Manager) and Michael Meunier (Cooperage Manager) all took part. The film aims to depict and connect the various stages of the Cognac-making process.

Rémy Martin Global Executive Director Augustin Depardon: “Rémy Martin is more than just a brand. It’s a constellation of talent driven by that rarely-found feeling of belonging to a real family.”

“It’s a wonderful project which was made through teamwork. The result is a film which shows the essence of our trades, the passion which bonds us together and drives us, and above all the evidence of working together for the better, the excellence of our Cognac”, said Baptiste Loiseau.

The second film takes place in the world of young, pioneering companies and draws on the history of Rémy Martin but with a modern twist, and emphasises the Cognac’s Fine Champagne, the foundation of the product.

“Rémy Martin is more than just a brand. It’s a constellation of talent driven by that rarely-found feeling of belonging to a real family”, said Rémy Martin Global Executive Director Augustin Depardon.
