Teremana Tequila is marking National Tequila Day (24 July) with a makeover of The Moodie Davitt Report homepage and an elegant treatment of our mobile website.
The brand was founded by Hollywood superstar, businessman and former professional wrestler Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and is co-owned by Mast-Jägermeister (also the exclusive distribution partner).
National Tequila Day is on 24 July each year and celebrates the Mexican distilled spirit made from cooked and fermented agave juice.

Teremana Tequila has grown steadily in the channel since its debut in April 2024. The brand’s physical presence in key travel retail locations is supported by eye-catching displays and immersive storytelling through the ‘Share the Mana’ campaign.
Mast-Jägermeister said this will continue throughout 2025, with more airport pop-up spaces exploring the provenance and craft that goes into each bottle.
Teremana Tequila is crafted using 100% fully mature blue weber agave, slow-roasted in traditional brick ovens and distilled in handmade copper pot stills – a commitment to traditional processes that has helped distinguish the brand in the competitive tequila market.
Teremana is crafted under its own NOM 1613 at the Destilería Teremana de Agave, located in the small town of Jesús María in the highlands of Jalisco.

The brand’s name loosely translates to ‘spirit of the earth’. It blends the Latin word terra (earth) and the Polynesian word mana (spirit), a concept close to Founder Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson’s heart. He said, “I looked at this as an opportunity to create a tequila experience that brings people together in good times, not so-good times and everything in between.”
As part of its strategic expansion, Mast-Jägermeister is now introducing Teremana to new travel retail markets, prioritising major international airports while also extending into ferry and border store channels.
In addition to travel retail, Teremana launched in the domestic markets of the UK, Australia, UAE and Germany in 2024 with 20 additional domestic market launches across Europe, Asia Pacific, South America and Africa planned for 2025.
“We are delighted with the reception by customers and consumers to Teremana,” said Mast-Jägermeister Marketing Director Global Travel Retail Stephanie Cleary.
“GTR is an important shop window that allows us to educate consumers on the brand and the category at the point of purchase.” ✈
