FRANCE. Tax Free World Association (TFWA) has revealed details of its new Innovation Square concept, set to make its debut at the 2025 TFWA World Exhibition & Conference in Cannes.
Highlighting breakthrough retail innovations and technologies, and sustainable business models shaping the future of travel retail, Innovation Square is designed as a dynamic space for networking, learning and exchanging insights.
Located at the foot of the Palais des Festivals steps, the exclusive space is designed to bring together brands, retailers, airports and creative agencies in a prominent setting within the world’s biggest travel retail trade show.
Running from 29 September to 2 October, the space will be open for private hire and available until 9pm daily to support extended networking opportunities. TFWA workshop sessions will also be held at the venue each morning before the exhibition begins.
TFWA President Philippe Margueritte said, “Innovation lies at the core of TFWA’s mission to drive value within the travel retail industry. This year, we are taking a bold step forward with the addition of a unique platform for all stakeholders to showcase their leadership in areas such as customer experience, technology, sustainability, artificial intelligence and more.
“The Innovation Square is not just a display. It is a celebration of creativity and progress where all stakeholders will be able to spotlight groundbreaking achievements.
“The enthusiasm surrounding this project is palpable as it is designed to foster an environment of learning, innovation sharing and networking – three pillars that stand at the heart of TFWA’s mission. As the industry gathers to explore new opportunities, this platform will undoubtedly become a nexus for collaboration and inspiration in travel retail.” ✈
