The protection of tropical rainforests, and the endangered species that live in them, is the focus of The Body Shop’s philanthropy this festive season, as previously reported. The brand has unveiled a video (which can be viewed below) featuring animals ‘singing’ a catchy jungle take on Jingle Bells to highlight the campaign.
The company aims to raise £200,000 over the Christmas period to fund the construction of bio-bridges in Vietnam, Indonesia and Malaysia. The Body Shop will plant 1sq m of tropical rainforest for each gift box purchased.
Endangered species The Body Shop is hoping to protect include Asian elephants, Malaysian tigers and Red-Shanked Douc monkeys.
Christmas shoppers can choose from a wide range of gifts from novelty sponge stocking fillers to a luxurious Spa of the World gift set along with seasonal limited editions. The Body Shop’s iconic products including White Musk fragrance, Shea Butter body care and Oils of Life skincare are all available in ready-made gift sets or shoppers can pick and choose their own combinations.
