The Estée Lauder Companies introduces dual brand clusters in restructure

The Estée Lauder Companies (ELC) has announced an organisational restructuring across its brands portfolio underpinned by the creation of  two distinct brand clusters.

The strategic move is designed to secure the US beauty group’s continued growth in a sustainable manner and to remain at the forefront of the continually evolving global beauty, hair and skincare products landscape.

The two brand clusters are led by Executive Group President Jane Hertzmark Hudis, and Stéphane de La Faverie, who has been promoted to Executive Group President.

Hertzmark Hudis’s  portfolio of brands includes: La Mer, Bobbi Brown, Tom Ford Beauty, MAC Cosmetics, Clinique, Origins, Aveda, Bumble and Bumble, and Dr.Jart+. She will also continue her enterprise-wide executive leadership of skin and hair care. In addition, Hudis will continue as an executive sponsor for key strategic enterprise-wide priorities, including initiatives focused on marketing, and the Chinese consumer.

La Faverie oversees a strong and diverse brand portfolio

La Faverie’s portfolio now includes makeup, fragrance and the subcategories of home, bath and body, and men’s skincare and grooming.

He will continue to lead a brand cluster that includes Estée Lauder, Aerin Beauty, Jo Malone London, Le Labo, Kilian Paris, Editions de Parfums Frederic Malle, Darphin Paris, Lab Series, and Deciem (The Ordinary, NIOD, and Avestan). Additionally, he is now responsible for ELC’s California-based brands – Too Faced, Smashbox and Glamglow.

Additional brand leadership changes were also announced. Justin Boxford has been appointed Global Brand President,. Global Brand President Sandra Main will assume direct leadership of La Mer and will oversee Bobbi Brown until a new leader is named. Michelle Freyre has been promoted to Global Brand President, Clinique and Origins.
