The FAB eZine: Revisiting FAB 2025 in Barcelona and the evolving airport F&B and hospitality landscape

INTERNATIONAL. Welcome to this special FAB eZine, a compact guide to the Airport Food & Beverage (FAB) + Hospitality Conference & Awards held in Barcelona on 25-26 June 2025. The two-day agenda brought together airport and F&B leaders, concessionaires and hospitality operators to debate commercial strategy, operations and the changing passenger experience.

The conference programme mixed fascinating case studies with visionary sessions on design, digitalisation, sustainability and the guest experience. An impressive array of standalone speakers and compelling panel discussions brought challenge, freshness and insight to the thankfully never-ending debate about how airports and partners can best serve the travelling consumer while creating sustainable businesses.

The FAB Awards night, staged at the Maritime Museum of Barcelona, closed the programme as the winners – drawn from a record 430 entries – were announced. Incheon International Airport took the top prize, Airport Food & Beverage Offer of the Year, while other regional and category winners were recognised across 23 award categories.

The event concluded with the unveiling of FAB 2026’s host city – bold, buzzing, brilliant Bengaluru, India, home to the astonishing Kempegowda International Airport Bengaluru Terminal 2, a true wonder of the airport world.
