The Moodie Davitt Report x Globuy: CDF-Sunrise Duty Free unveils stellar array of beauty pop-ups in Pudong

CHINA. Leading Chinese consumer platform and information-sharing partner* of The Moodie Davitt Report  Globuy shares some exclusive coverage from Shanghai Pudong International Airport this week, as MAC, Jo Malone, Estée Lauder, and Chanel unveil a stellar line-up of holiday-themed beauty pop-ups in Shanghai Pudong International Airport. The pop-ups were launched in partnership with CDF-Sunrise Duty Free.

MAC has taken over the space near Gate 18 of the International Departure Hall of Terminal 1 with a ‘star-studded’ animation. The beauty pop-up invites travelling shoppers to ‘embrace their inner star,’ and features a starry pastel-toned colour palette.

Inside, customers can try on MAC’s limited-edition holiday collections, take selfies in the interactive photo booth, or play with MAC’s self-timer filter lights. The pop-up also offers exclusive gifts with purchase as well as themed stickers, which shoppers can use to customise their MAC products.

Jo Malone London’s ‘Scented Spectacular’ gifting animation also pops up in the T1 International Departure Hall. As reported, the gifting-on-the-go outpost highlights Jo Malone London’s value as a gifting brand and places special emphasis on customisation.

Travelling shoppers can customise their fragrance bottles with Jo Malone London charms and keyrings. The pop-up also offers Jo Malone London’s holiday exclusive gift sets, including the English Pear and Freesia Christmas Gift Box.

Both MAC and Jo Malone London’s pop-ups can be found near Gate 18 of the T1 Departure Hall. They will run until 31 December.

The Estée Lauder boutique in the S1 Satellite Terminal also got a holiday makeover in red. The pop-up follows the brand’s ‘Game On’ holiday campaign and offers the brand’s three limited-edition travel-retail exclusive gift sets. These are the Advanced Night Repair Gift set, the Re-Nutriv Ultimate Lift Regenerating Youth Travel Collection, and the Pure Color Envy Sculpting Lipstick Trio.

The Advanced Night Repair set features Estée Lauder global spokesmodel Yang Mi’s favourite Estée Lauder products. It also features the work of fashion illustrator Megan Hess on its packaging. As reported, the limited-edition gift sets will be available until the end of February 2020.
