SPAIN. In “˜race 5′ of The Moodie Report’s special readers’ competition to celebrate Johnnie Walker Black Label’s 100th anniversary, our geographic focus moves to Spain and the European Grand Prix, to be held in Valencia on 23 August.
Once again we are delighted to join forces with Diageo Global Travel & Middle East (GTME) to offer our readers the chance to win exclusive half-scale hand-signed replica Lewis Hamilton and Heikki Kovalainen racing helmets.

A winning formula: Readers can join in the celebrations by winning a half-scale, hand-signed replica helmet set |
Johnnie Walker is closely linked to Formula 1 through its sponsorship of the Vodafone McLaren Mercedes team.
As reported, Diageo GTME has embarked on a major Black Label promotional programme this year to drive in-store awareness, footfall and conversion, dubbed “˜100 Years of Progress’.
To underpin that campaign, The Moodie Report is hosting a readers’ competition to coincide with the remaining races on the F1 circuit. Each competition winner will receive a half-scale signed replica Lewis Hamilton and Heikki Kovalainen racing helmet set as detailed earlier.
To be in with a chance of winning this week’s signed helmet set, you must answer the following questions:
1. Johnnie Walker Black Label features an iconic figure on the bottle. Who is it?
2. What is the name of Spain’s largest travel retailer?
3. Who will win the European Grand Prix?
In the event of a tie, a Diageo GTME executive will draw the winner out of a hat.
Answers, headed ‘Johnnie Walker 100 Years’, must be sent to Martin@TheMoodieReport.com by midnight GMT on Saturday 22 August. [Please state your company as the competition is open only to those directly connected with the travel retail industry and not to the general public].
The winner of our last competition – dedicated to the Hungarian Grand Prix – was John Kammerman of Imperial Tobacco, who predicted Lewis Hamilton’s surprise victory.
