INTERNATIONAL. Welcome to this special edition of The Moodie Davitt eZine, in which we celebrate the winners of The Moodies Travel Journey Digital Awards 2021. This awards programme, now in its eighth year, shines a light on innovation and excellence in social and digital media across the travel industry.
In this publication we report in words, images and video on the social and digital media campaigns, projects and programmes that stood out for their impact and reach during the most challenging period in the travel industry’s history.
The awards, we believe, underscore the resilience, innovation and creativity of our sector across multiple channels, and fittingly, they carry a special focus on the industry’s COVID-19 response, and related campaigns.
In selecting the winners, the judges were seeking clear objectives, creative and effective implementation and tangible and demonstrable results in the campaign award categories.

• Quantifiable impact
Customer engagement, quality of content, incentive to spend and impact on the traveller experience were also considered.
Digital communication and ecommerce has come a long way since we launched the Moodies awards programme eight years ago. The pandemic has accelerated the role of digital in our world and will spark even more creative and surprising ways to engage the travelling consumer in future.
