How long have you been in the travel retail industry?

Two years.

What’s your proudest career achievement to date?

Being a part of the phenomenal growth and development of Etihad Airways.

What’s the biggest lesson you have learned in the course of your life?

Time is precious and life is short.

What qualities do you most admire in people?

Wisdom, vision and courage.

You live in Abu Dhabi but come from Australia – what is the biggest attraction of each?

Both have an amazing quality of life. To me, Australia is home and Abu Dhabi is lifestyle.

If you had to sum up “˜being Australian’ in a few words, what would they be?

Courage, resilience, compassion, fun, easy going and very good at sport!

What is your favourite quote or saying?

Well, I would have said “There’s nothing you can’t do”; but I asked my team and they laughed and said “win, win, win” and “sell, sell, sell”!

What’s been your best-ever travel or holiday experience?

A month skiing in Whistler, Canada followed by a month diving in Mexico.

One book, one music album for your desert island – what would they be?

Shantaram because I can never finish it without falling asleep; Sarah McLachlan’s Afterglow.

And if you could take one duty free item?

Just one? An iPod (loaded with many albums!) with a solar power charger.

If you could invite three iconic figures (they can be living or dead) to your ideal dinner party, who would they be?

Hugh Jackman, Cate Blanchett, Chris Martin (Coldplay).
