The Retail Wave Makers Podcast: Previewing Seatrade and The Moodie Davitt Report’s cruise retail session

USA/INTERNATIONAL. Leading cruiseline, concessionaire and brand representatives will feature in an eagerly anticipated retail panel at Seatrade Cruise Global on 29 March in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

As reported, Seatrade Cruise Global, the premier annual gathering of the cruise industry worldwide, is partnering with The Moodie Davitt Report to host a special retail session during its 2023 event at the Broward County Convention Center (27-30 March).

Speakers include Carnival Cruise Line Vice President Guest Commerce & Onboard Revenue Luis Terife, Starboard Cruise Services President & CEO Lisa Bauer and Seth Weisser, CEO of fast-growing vintage luxury seller What Goes Around Comes Around. The session will be chaired by The Moodie Davitt Report President Dermot Davitt.

In advance of the event, Seatrade Retail Ambassador Nadine Heubel spoke to Dermot Davitt for the latest edition of The Retail Wave Makers Podcast, hosted by Seatrade Cruise Global.

Themes to be addressed by the panel include how cruiselines and their retail partners see the role of retail in the travel recovery phase, who the new cruise consumer is and what motivates them to shop onboard, and how the assortment should be adapted to their evolving needs. Key consumer drivers such as sustainability and digitalisation will feature high on the agenda.
