The Trinity Forum moves to September: ‘biggest and best yet’ promise the organisers – 27/11/08

CHINA. The ACI Airport Business & Trinity Forum 2009 will now take place in Macau on 23-25 September, instead of March 2-4 as originally planned.

Popularly known as The Trinity Forum, the event is the world’s leading airport commercial revenues conference. A joint venture between Airports Council International (ACI) and The Moodie Report, it is being hosted by CAM – Macau International Airport Company Limited.

The dates have been changed in light of the difficult global economic climate and the resultant pressures on all elements of the aviation industry chain.

ACI and The Moodie Report said: “We believe the industry will welcome the revised dates as the next few months are clouded by uncertainty. We are confident that signs of recovery will be tangible by September 2009, and we will ensure that the Forum focuses on the critical questions of partnership that are vital to progress in such testing times. It will be the biggest and best Trinity Forum yet – in one of the world’s most exciting retail and tourism locations.”

The Trinity Forum seeks to improve dialogue and mutual understanding between airports, concessionaires and brands to the benefit of a critical fourth party, the consumer. Given the current pressures facing the whole travel chain, that spirit of partnership is now more important than ever.

The Trinity Forum will be held in the Grand Hall of the superb Macau Tower facility. It will kick off with the Opening Cocktail on 23 September with the formal proceedings following on 24/25 September.

Delegates will also be offered the opportunity to take a tour of Macau’s latest and best retail initiatives. Macau has witnessed a flurry of travel retail activity in the past 18 months, including the opening of DFS Galleria Macao in July; and in 2007 the unveiling of the vast shopping-to-leisure complex The Venetian Macao-Resort-Hotel, whose retail offer includes stores from Nuance-Watson (HK) and Duty Free Americas as well as King Power Hong Kong (which also runs the duty free stores at the airport and ferry port).

An exciting programme is currently being developed. For programme and sponsorship details please contact please contact ACI’s Andreas Schimm at aschimm@aci.aero or The Moodie Report’s Martin Moodie at Martin@TheMoodieReport.com
