SWITZERLAND. Swiss skincare brand Theobroma Secret Cacao has opened a counter, its first travel retail physical point-of-sale globally, at Geneva Airport with Lagardère Travel Retail.
The brand owner said in a statement that its natural, clean and high-performance skincare products should perform well with travelling consumers looking for more sustainable choices.
According to the company, its Hand Kin Hand Cream, Lip Kin Lip Balm and Baume des Dieux sold out quickly at the Swiss gateway after the official opening in November.
To celebrate the move, Theobroma Secret Cacao has been offering an Ek-Chuah Revitalising Mask (30ml) as a free gift with purchase at Geneva Airport.
Theobroma Secret Cacao is natural skincare brand with enriched natural formulas, and is committed to providing clean beauty sustainably.
Founded in 2019 in Neuchâtel Switzerland, Theobroma Secret Cacao offers a natural range of six vegan beauty products centred on the antioxidant powers of Cacao.
The brand, which has targeted travel retail as part of its global expansion, was a finalist at the 2021 edition of The QDF Factor, where the big reveal took place during the Virtual Travel Retail Expo.
The brand was recently recognised at the Cosmetiquemag 2021 Awards for its Baume des Dieux, a new all-in-one treatment with a high-concentration of organic and fair-trade cocoa butter.
Theobroma Secret Cacao said that its strong positioning and clean ethos will drive its expansion in travel retail as it leverages the growth of the clean beauty market.
In addition, the brand is seeking to partner with premium chocolate brands to create additional value for travellers through cross-selling promotions and in-store activations.
