As 2026 begins, the travel retail community has joined global New Year celebrations, signalling the start of another year of passenger journeys and commercial momentum.

To mark the occasion, retailers have rolled out a range of promotional and digital activations, using the New Year period to engage travellers and boost spend.

Avolta

Avolta is rewarding Club Avolta members with an exclusive online offer, providing discounts of up to -20% on pre-reserved travel essentials.

Passengers who are not yet members are encouraged to sign up to take advantage of the promotion.

China Duty Free Group

China Duty Free Group is inviting travellers at its cdf Hainan stores to start 2026 by selecting a ‘star’ gift.

The campaign emphasises self-care and celebrating loved ones, combining festive messaging with a premium shopping experience.

Duty Zero by cdf

Duty Zero by cdf’s local eShop is celebrating the New Year with a prestige bundle of top-selling wines & spirits, offering discounts of up to -37%.

Shoppers can also benefit from free local shipping on purchases over HK$900 (US$116) and complimentary pickup at more than ten local points. The promotion is valid until 31 January, while stocks last.

DFS

DFS has launched its New Year promotion, offering 10x loyalty points, up to -60% off selected international beauty brands and Alipay-exclusive discounts.

The campaign also features exclusive selections from prestige brands such as La Prairie, Kiehl’s, Helena Rubinstein, Lancôme, Estée Lauder, Giorgio Armani and SK-II.

Everrich Duty Free

To welcome 2026, Everrich Duty Free is running a shopping campaign from 5 January to 3 March, featuring tiered sitewide discounts, weekly credits and exclusive monthly gifts.

From jewellery and skincare to home wellness, shoppers can enjoy bonus points, vouchers and collectable items.

Lotte Duty Free

Lotte Duty Free’s 2026 promotional campaign targets international shoppers with high-value incentives. At its flagship Myeong-dong and World Tower stores in Seoul, as well as its Busan and Jeju locations, the retailer is offering payback rewards up to KRW1.23 million (US$850) and gift-with-visit perks until 28 February.

Online, the English platform provides tiered discounts year-round of up to US$92 on mid-range purchases and US$110 on category-specific spends to boost transaction size and customer loyalty.

Shinsegae Duty Free

Shinsegae Duty Free is welcoming the year with a shopping campaign in partnership with Chow Tai Fook, offering customers the chance to win a gold bar through a social media lottery.

The initiative invites customers to share their aspirations for the year, creating a memorable and interactive start to 2026. ⠀

Hyundai Duty Free

With Lunar New Year travel approaching, Hyundai Duty Free has rolled out a January new-member benefits programme designed to stimulate pre-departure spending and reward first-time shoppers.

The offer includes a KRW15,000 (US$10) H.oney shopping credit rewarded upon sign-up, alongside an instant upgrade to Silver membership, providing customers with a -10% discount on purchases.

King Power Duty Free

King Power Duty Free is launching its New Year Hot Online Deals, offering up to -18% off on purchases of THB3,000 (US$95), and up to -25% off on purchases of THB8,000 (US$254), with selected products.

Singapore Airlines’ flagship omnichannel retailer, KrisShop, is marking the New Year with discounts of up to -59% on selected gadgets from popular brands, including Sudio and Oppo.

Delhi Duty Free

Delhi Duty Free showcases a premium selection of international and luxury fragrances. Travellers can shop online prior to departure, receive an additional -10% discount, and collect their orders at Delhi Indira Gandhi International Airport.
