SWITZERLAND. Jeweller Tiffany & Co has opened its first boutique in Zürich Airport’s Airside Center. The 100sq m store, which opened to the public earlier this month, is situated on Level 2 of the Center and offers a range of diamonds and other gemstones, sterling silver jewellery, watches and accessories. It was officially inaugurated at a ceremony on June 16.

The boutique is the legendary jeweller’s second in Switzerland, having opened a store in Zürich’s prestigious Bahnhofstrasse shopping district 23 years ago.

“With this presence at Zürich Airport, we have another important site in Switzerland,” said Tiffany & Co Group Vice President Europe Melvyn Kirtley. “Zürich is a major international hub that consistently receives high marks from business travellers, frequent flyers and airlines. We are confident that visitors traveling through Zürich will be delighted by the presence and convenience of a Tiffany airport boutique, and we look forward to offering them the quality, craftsmanship and outstanding service for which Tiffany is renowned.”

The Tiffany boutique in Zürich’s Airside Center will offer a full range of items from the renowned jeweller

The inauguration of the Tiffany boutique is part of a continuing programme of improvement at the Airside Center, which recently welcomed new stores by watchmaker Bucherer and crystal specialist Swarovski. Later this year, security control at the airport will be centralised, leading to the opening of new walk-through duty free stores to be operated by long-term concessionaire The Nuance Group.
