Tijuana International Airport issues 14-outlet food & beverage RFP

MEXICO. Tijuana (TIJ) International Airport has released a Request for Proposals (RFP) for 14 food & beverage spaces within the departures boarding lounge through The Moodie Davitt Report*.

TIJ is run by Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacífico (GAP), which operates another 11 airports in Mexico and two in Jamaica.

Tijuana International is GAP’s second-busiest airport by passenger volume, having served 13.2 million travellers last year, just behind Guadalajara International

TIJ’s F&B RFP includes 670sq m of commercial area that will be converted into F&B units. By the conclusion of the tender the airport will present a much wider offer of restaurants and fast-food windows to travelling consumers, the company told The Moodie Davitt Report.

TIJ said the RFP winners will be those which provide the best food menus and a wide variety of brands that meet passenger expectations.

Sealed proposals in packages must be received at GAP headquarters by the commercial team on or before 21 February.

The units will be handed over to the awarded companies on 2 May. The fixturing period will be four months. ✈
