UK-based owner and distributor Time Products, whose range includes the popular Sekonda watches, has acquired the Accurist brand.
Time Products Chairman Marcus Margulies said: “We are very happy to announce the purchase by Time Products of the Accurist Watch business. The Margulies and Loftus families have known each other for over 50 years and recognised the benefits that will stem from the merger of these two very famous brands.
“Andrew Loftus and David Merriman will be working together to ensure that a smooth transition takes place. It is the wish of both companies to build on the reputation that the two brands have had over very many years, based on customer service, value and quality.”
Time Products Luxury Watch Division specialises in the distribution of Swiss luxury time pieces including Audemars Piguet, Piaget and Franck Muller. The Time Products Group includes the Sekonda brand, described as the UK’s best-selling watch brand for the past 22 years. It also owns the Marcus store on London’s Bond Street.
