SWITZERLAND. Tissot has introduced a hi-tech quartz watch for travellers which can give the time in 150 countries or cities simply by touching the activated crystal.

A round dial features Arabic numbers at the quarters of the hour and offers a clear analogue reading of the time with the illuminated LCD window indicating the city or country to which this time applies. The watch adapts automatically to the change in Winter and Summer time up to 2099.

The T-Navigator 3000 offers the functions of a chronograph, countdown timer, two separate alarms programmable over seven days with a choice of five melodies, and three different date reading options shown in six languages. It is water-resistant to 50 metres.

The reference time can be personalised to your home town simply by choosing the time zone and then changing the name through touching the plus (+) and minus (-) points to change the letters.

Cased in polished stainless steel with linked steel bracelet or leather strap, the T-Navigator 3000 comes with a crimped bezel and black, grey or blue dial with white stylised modern Arabic numbers at the four quarters of the hour, and white-edged hands for legibility. The red indices and plus and minus points recall the red “T” of the logo. The case back is engraved with the map of the world, whose time zones the user can navigate with ease via this watch.

Created in partnership with its sister Swatch Group company, ETA, the T-Navigator 3000 is the latest model in the range of innovative Tissot tactile technology timepieces, after the T-Touch in 2000 and the vibrating Silen-T of 2003. These models aim to offer cutting-edge technology, design and user-friendliness.

Tissot has also introduced a quartz watch which reveals a complete flower when the bezel is turned. The Precious Flower watch features glittering paved petals with a combination of diamonds, sapphires and rubies.

Closed, the raised diamond paved case offers an oval-shaped timepiece on a shiny satin band. Turn the bezel and a second corolla of petals appears. Turn the bezel a final time and a third set of paved petals is seen, and the flower is complete.

A patented technique exclusive to Tissot, the stainless steel bezel is encrusted with different combinations of real Top Wesselton diamonds, sapphires and rubies, which revolve around a central mother-of-pearl dial. The pistil takes the form of two straight steel hands.

The three versions of the Precious Flower come with all diamonds or a combination of diamonds, sapphires and rubies on a black leather satin band, or all sapphires on a blue leather satin band, and all have mother-of-pearl dials. The watch is water-resistant to 30 metres.

Based in Le Locle, Switzerland, Tissot is a member of the Swatch Group, the biggest watch producer and distributor in the world.
