TPR Holdings’ Promise Me fragrance supports breast cancer cause

US. TPR Holdings, a consumer products manufacturing and distribution company led by beauty industry veteran Brian Robinson, has joined forces with Susan G. Komen for the Cure (the world’s largest breast cancer organisation) to launch a fragrance.

The Promise Me fragrance, developed by TPR Holdings, in partnership with Susan G. Komen for the Cure

“Promise Me” is the first and only proprietary fragrance developed with Susan G. Komen for the Cure as a way to honour those who have been touched by breast cancer and encourage those who have not to support this vital cause.

TPR Holdings will donate 13.5% of all Promise Me sales to the Susan G. Komen organisation – and has made a commitment to guarantee a minimum donation of US$1,000,000.

The name of the fragrance was taken from the recent book Promise Me, written by Susan Komen for the Cure Founder and CEO Nancy Brinker.

“With fifteen years in the beauty industry, I wanted to lend my expertise to a profound cause,” commented Robinson. “We worked closely with top perfumers to infuse the essence of the Susan G. Komen message into a fragrance that really gives back and brings hope to those suffering from breast cancer.”

“We’re always grateful for the support of so many who want to join the Komen family and help support this life-saving work,” Brinker said. “We are especially pleased that TPR Holdings is helping to spread breast cancer education and awareness through this partnership – the need is still very great for women to be informed about this disease.”

The Promise Me fragrance will launch in all distribution channels. In prestige, it will be available as a 3.4oz edp in a collectible bottle, priced at US$59.00; for mass there will be a 3.4oz edt retailing at US$29.99; there will be a unique gift set for television shopping; plus smaller sizes for other distribution channels.

Each Promise Me fragrance will include a Komen for the Cure informational insert to raise breast cancer awareness, detailing the organisation and the contribution each purchase makes to Komen, as well as a limited-edition scented bracelet with a Susan G. Komen charm.

The fragrance will launch in April 2011 and remain on the market for six months, with new editions launching each year. Confirmed retailers to date include Sephora in JC Penney, Ulta and Home Shopping Network.

The Promise Me juice was developed by Drom Fragrances’ Jean Claude Delville, the creator of scents such as Clinique Happy and Vera Wang. The floriental fragrance features green, citrus, musk and wood notes, to deliver a clean, fresh yet sensual aroma, according to the brand. The packaging was designed by Chad Lavigne.
