Luggage specialist Tumi has teamed up with luxury automotive manufacturer McLaren to introduce a new range of styles as part of an ongoing collaboration. The styles range from backpacks and slings to luggages and briefcases. It is now available in selected travel retail locations in China, Taiwan, Qatar and India.
Crafted from Tumi’s exclusive CX6 carbon fibre material, the collection combines the luggage brand’s travel gear innovation and McLaren’s engineering expertise.
It is supported by a striking visual campaign, which launched on 14 October. The ‘Built for the Journey’ campaign stars McLaren Formula 1 driver Lando Norris and highlights the travel-friendly appeal to the line.
Several pieces are inspired by McLaren’s aerodynamic design, including the Axle Slim Brief, which was created for business professionals returning to the office. It features a sculpted design with leather top carry handles and a padded laptop pocket that fits up to 14-inch screens.
The Velocity Backpack was also inspired by the McLaren supercar silhouette and is made using Tumi’s CX6 carbon fibre material.
For luggage, the Aero International Expandable Four-Wheel Carry-On is made with a mix of durable materials including Tegris, an aero-inspired moulded front panel, and with CX6 carbon fibre accents throughout.
The Quantum Duffle features multi-functional compartments and pouches and is made with waterproof lining.
