FINLAND. Leading lingerie and beauty retailer Victoria’s Secret is set to open its first store on Finnish soil at Helsinki Airport later this summer. The brand already has a shop on board the M/S Viking Grace owned by Finland-based ferry company Viking Line.
This new store will showcase a range of fashion-forward beauty products, including prestige fragrances such as the FiFi Award-winning Victoria’s Secret Bombshell and VS Angel, as well as the perennial favourites such as the VS Fantasies fragrance.
The beauty offer will be complemented by a range of “functional-yet-chic” accessories, from branded cosmetic cases and multi-use fashion bags to scarves, sunglasses and underwear.
“We are excited about the arrival of Victoria’s Secret and we are proud to welcome the brand with its first Finnish store location at the Helsinki Airport. Large international companies now consider Helsinki Airport an interesting location – this is how we can offer Finnish travellers completely new brands and products,” said Finavia Deputy Director Jukka Isomäki.
The opening of Victoria’s Secret is part of Finavia’s service reform at Helsinki Airport, which is now in its final stages. As a result of the revamp of the service points, about 70 new or renovated shops and restaurants will be opened at the airport, the operator said.
The final renovations will be ready at Terminal 2 by the end of 2015; subsequently, upgrades will still take place in Terminal 1.
At the same time, Finavia is carrying out an extensive development programme at Helsinki Airport, aimed at increasing transit capacity to 20 million yearly passengers by 2020.
