Victorinox has collaborated with Dufry to re-open a 48sq m landside store at Zürich Airport and increase the brand’s presence at the Swiss hub to over 15 points-of-sale.

The revamped landside store – in a high-traffic location on the way to Terminal 1 – complements an existing standalone airside shop and highlights Victorinox’s multi-category product offer, which includes Swiss Army Knives, travel gear, watches and fragrances.
Victorinox said the store concept reflects the brand’s core values of functionality, innovation, quality and design. Design features include the cross and shield logo and the use of natural materials to contrast steel and concrete elements.

“Oak stands for tradition, steel is the basis of knife manufacture and concrete expresses modernity,” Victorinox said. “The clean, premium look and feel of the revamped store echoes Victorinox’s combination of tradition and modernity and brings the brand’s philosophy to life.”
Victorinox Head of Travel Retail Thomas Bodenmann said: “The opening of our landside store is one of this year’s highlights as we continue to build awareness for Victorinox as a multi-category brand and open new doors in the travel retail channel.”
Bodenmann said the numerous points-of-sale “underline not only the growing presence of the Victorinox brand in travel retail, but also highlight the strong foundation that we have at our home airport in Switzerland”.
