USA/CANADA. Wild Tiger has been signed by Haleybrooke International to help build the Indian rum brand’s footprint in North America (USA & Canada) travel retail. The brand agent will introduce Wild Tiger to the market at the Frontier Duty Free Association (FDFA) 2017 Convention taking place 12-15 November in Montreal, Canada.

Wild Tiger, which launched in travel retail less than 18 months ago, has gathered listings across the ground, inflight and ferry channels, including its latest noteworthy contract with Aer Rianta International’s shops in Barbados,  Auckland and Muscat. Other key listings include Dubai Duty Free and DFS with King Power Thailand in the pipeline, according to brand owner Gautom Menon.

The agreement with Haleybrooke was formed at the recently concluded TFWA World Exhibition in Cannes. Menon said: “It’s a special time for us to be working with Haleybrooke and to be among some iconic brands in their portfolio. What Patrick and Roger [Thompson, Haleybrooke International Vice President] bring to the table is invaluable and we are tremendously happy to be in a position to get noticed and signed by a pioneering brand agent such as Haleybrooke.”

Haleybrooke International President Patrick Nilson stated “What interested me in Wild Tiger Rum was not only the spectacular packaging and the great rum itself but the person behind the brand. In only a year and a half Gautom has managed, almost singlehandedly, to put Wild Tiger Rum on the travel retail map faster than many of the largest companies in the industry.”

Thompson added: “I look forward to  introducing both Wild Tiger Rum and Gautom to the Canadian travel retail key accounts at the FDFA in Montreal and have already guaranteed the success of the brand in Canada duty free.”

Founded in 2002, Haleybrooke International represents wines and spirits in North American travel retail including Bottega S.p.A, Whitley Neill Gin, The Pogues Irish whiskey, Louis Royer Cognac, Freixenet, Laboure-Roi Burgundy wines, and Schroder & Schyler Bordeaux wines among others.

As a part of its core CSR policy, Wild Tiger donates 10% of profits towards Tiger Conservation in South India via their non-profit Wild Tiger Foundation.
