William Grant & Sons draws inspiration from Asia Pacific shop-in-shops for Cannes show

William Grant & Sons (WGS) is set to introduce a stand design inspired by its recently opened Asia Pacific airport shop-in-shops at this year’s TFWA World Exhibition in Cannes.

The retail concept is built around shoppers’ duty-free needs and behaviours.

The space (GO2 Golden Village) will showcase exclusive and high-aged Glenfiddich and The Balvenie single malt whiskies, including interactive touchpoints and a personalised gifting experience.

The Balvenie and Glenfiddich single malt whiskies and Hendrick’s and Silent Pool gins will feature at the exhibition.

New SKUs on display will include global travel retail-exclusive Silent Pool Mediterranean Expression, an addition to The Balvenie Cask Collection and a Glenfiddich Grand Series Limited Edition.

Hendrick’s will unveil a new Cabinet of Curiosities expression during an exclusive event.

WGS Managing Director Rufus Parkinson said: “The spirits category in travel retail is changing with customers increasingly on the lookout for something different, something outstanding from their trusted brands.

“Our portfolio for this year’s TFWA World Exhibition includes channel-exclusive, limited-edition and brand-new expressions that will appeal to a wide range of customers looking for new tastes and exclusive propositions.”

“Our brands ensure that we remain at the forefront of the spirits category, offering not only the right products but also the complete support of our retailing partners.

“We are confident that this year’s show is going to be a great success, and we are looking forward to discussing our brands and our plans in the channel with travel retail stakeholders. At the same time, we hope they will also join us to sample our category-leading brands – especially at cocktail hour.”

WGS will host cocktail hours highlighting various brands from 5pm-6pm throughout the exhibition.

Silent Pool Gin will feature on Monday 30 September, with Monkey Shoulder blended malt Scotch whisky and Hendrick’s Gin to follow on Tuesday and Wednesday. Global Travel Retail Brand Ambassador Ashvin Joshi will be on-stand sharing his brand knowledge with visitors. ✈️
