UAE. Toy and gadget specialist Wizz has installed two gondolas in Cairo International Airport, one in Terminal 1 and the other in Terminal 3, as it expands its Middle East presence.
Wizz merchandise has been available in the toy section of Cairo Airport’s duty free offering since May this year, but the branded gondolas are expected to create a much more focused offer for travellers.
Wizz Managing Director Nigel Caddick said: “Installing our own Wizz-branded gondolas will make a real difference. Presenting our products together as a comprehensive range makes a clear statement to the customer. Wizz products are ideal as a fun gift for children and the gondolas make that very obvious.”
Cairo Airport Duty Free Purchasing Manager Amer Fattouh added: “By offering the Wizz assortment in our duty free we know that we are introducing a collection of fun, interesting and great value items for children and fun loving adults; plus the gondolas will make an attractive display. We are looking forwarded to a fruitful business relationship.”
Other airports now using Wizz gondolas include Dubai International, Abu Dhabi International, Sharjah International, Bahrain International, Muscat International, Larnaca International, and Amman Queen Alia International. The company’s stand-alone store at Sydney International Airport opened in April this year.
