

Mondelez World Travel Retail (WTR) is celebrating the success of its exclusive Travel Collection – an innovative on-the-go snacking pack tailored to meet the evolving demands of today’s travellers.
The collection brings together an assortment of offerings from Mondelez WTR brands, including Cadbury Dairy Milk, Milka Alpine Milk, Toblerone Tiny Milk and Milka with Pieces of Oreo.
The Travel Collection is the result of comprehensive market analysis that identified key shifts in traveller preferences, notably a growing consumer appetite for product differentiation. Of non-buyers, 50% cited a lack of variety as a purchase barrier, while a third of airport shoppers sought out items unavailable in their home markets.
Furthermore, insights showed that convenience and variety had the power to drive footfall with 25% of travellers preferring not to carry too many items and a third seeking products that offer multiple flavours in one pack (Kearney Report).
The Travel Collection has gained popularity in the channel since its launch, enjoying strong performance in key markets. In Europe, it was named the fastest-growing product in the ‘treat’ segment. It ranked among the top five bestsellers at Heathrow Airport during the first quarter and secured the number one spot during a promotional period at Copenhagen Airport last May.


Notably, the innovation has driven incremental sales growth in the big-size pouch format segment for Mondelez WTR.
Currently, the Travel Collection is available in over 250 airports worldwide, spanning Europe, the Middle East, USA, Latin America and Asia Pacific. Enhanced activation efforts and prominent in-store visibility have underpinned its success.
In line with Mondelez WTR’s commitment to sustainable practices, the Travel Collection features recyclable packaging. Additionally, the chocolate treats are produced using cocoa sourced through the Cocoa Life Programme, appealing to the socially and ethically conscious traveller.
