FRANCE. Yves Saint Laurent Parfums has unveiled its 2007 themed end of year event. The Love Collection, featuring a range of limited editions with a heart motif, will be available in travel retail from 15 October.
A key item is the Palette Pour Les Lèvres, priced at €40 in travel retail. This is a heart-shaped pendant that harks back to the designer Saint Laurent’s signature good luck charm.
The pendant opens to reveal two lip products and a mirror, and also incorporates a concealed lip brush. The white gold-coloured heart, adorned with red Swarovski crystals, can be worn around the neck or attached to a belt or handbag.
The Palette de Maquillage Multi-Usage (€43.20) is a multi-purpose palette containing make-up products for the lips, eyes and face. It features a heart-shaped blush, three eye shadows, a highlighter, three lip colours and one lip gloss.
The mirrored palette also includes a double-tipped foam applicator and a brush.
Completing the Love Collection in travel retail is a limited edition version of YSL’s cult classic Touche Éclat (€23.90). This is presented in a garnet red suedine case finished with a magnetic clasp and a mini heart-shaped mirror.
In other make-up news YSL has created a new foundation, called Teint Majeur. It too will be available in travel retail from 15 October, priced at €57.60 for 30ml.
The foundation draws on the technology of YSL’s Temps Majeur skin care line. It contains a “cyto-regenerating complex”, said to help cell regeneration, and an Ampli Light+ pigment complex for light diffusion. It also includes an SPF18.
Teint Majeur is presented in a transparent jar with gold accents, complete with a gold-coloured applicator brush. It is available in 10 shades.
In other news, YSL’s designer division has unveiled a new limited-edition fragrance from Stella McCartney. The Stella Velvet Edition, a 100ml edp spray, is available now in travel retail priced at €61.60.
The bottle is presented in a rich velvet sleeve, finished with an oversized silver medallion inspired by the designer’s accessories collection.
Lastly, YSL has created a new version of Z Zegna, called Z Zegna Extreme. It began rolling out into travel retail in early September.
The juice is blend of citrus top notes, a spicy heart and a woody dry-down. Key ingredients include mandarin, cardamom and patchouli.
The flask-like bottle features clean lines and curved shapes. Z Zegna Extreme is available as a 50ml and 100ml edt, priced in travel retail at €33.50 and €47.20, respectively.
