FRANCE. Yves Saint Laurent Parfums (YSL) is poised to introduce an innovative new skin care product called Top Secrets Flash Radiance Skincare Brush. It will be available in travel retail from 1 September, priced at around €39.20 for 40ml.
The product was directly inspired by the techniques of make-up artists, and references YSL’s cult Touche Eclat. As its name suggests, it is claimed to deliver an instant radiance boost to skin.

The formula, which features both moisturising and protective properties, can be used alone or after daily skin care. It is said to conceal small imperfections and enhance the effects of make-up.
Key ingredients include stimulating caffeine, sweet orange flavenoids to regulate pigmentation and combat a dull complexion, and wheat proteins and oat sugars for a firming effect.
Like Touche Eclat, Top Secrets features an integral brush, for ease of application. It should be applied in small touches, starting with the cheekbones, before stroking upwards from the bottom of the face to the forehead.
In other news, YSL is preparing to introduce a new lipstick line, called Rouge Volupté. It too will be available in travel retail from September, priced at €22.78.
The formula is described as soft and lightweight, and is said to deliver intense colour with a satin-smooth finish, without feeling heavy or sticky.
It also contains hyaluronic acid to plump up the lips; a mirror-like polymer for extra shine; and an SPF15 for UV protection.
The lipstick packaging incorporates a built-in mirror, for extra convenience. The lipstick “bullet” is a slanted shape, for ease of application.
The packaging is the signature YSL gold, complete with a coloured Cassandra belt that displays the colour within. There are 18 shades available.
The face of Rouge Volupté is supermodel Kate Moss.
