FRANCE. Luxury menswear house Zilli is celebrating a series of store openings at home and abroad.
Earlier this year, Zilli established its first duty free presence in South America, having opened new duty free outlets in Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo Airports with Brasif.
“We are selling ties with Brasif. As a first presence in travel retail in South America, things are going smoothly but surely,” Zilli Travel Retail Director Alexandra Schimel told The Moodie Report.
At Kazakhstan’s Almaty Airport, the official opening of a new Zilli duty free store is planned for the end of this month (September).
In other news, Zilli plans to open a boutique in Istanbul in early 2006 and will be opening a new shop in Shanghai in 2006-2007. The house is also looking at opening duty free outlets in China, reported Schimel.
In the company’s domestic market, a 450sq m flagship store in Lyon is planned for mid-October.
Zilli is showing its 2006 collection at TFWA World Exhibition in Cannes next month (Stand: Riviera Village RG16).
